On December 4, a promotional event for the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo was held in Amsterdam. Jin Yuan, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands, Hakma, Chairman of the Netherlands–China Business Council, Tao Fenghua, General Manager of ICBC (Europe) Amsterdam Branch, and Zhao Feng, Deputy Representative of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade to the European Union, delivered speeches at the event. More than 100 representatives from Chinese and Dutch business communities attended. In his remarks, Jin Yuan outlined the current state of China–Netherlands economic and trade cooperation and introduced China’s “15th Five-Year Plan” as well as policies related to high-level opening-up. He emphasized that China’s Ministry of Commerce is actively promoting the “Invest in China” and “Export to China” initiatives, and encouraged Dutch companies to invest and expand their businesses in China, increase exports of high-quality products to the Chinese market, and participate in the Supply Chain Expo, so as to turn “China opportunities” into opportunities for the Netherlands and the wider global market.
