Darwind BV, established in July 2009 and located in Hilversum, Netherlands, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SinoAzure Wind Power (Former XEMC WIND Power). It serves as the European R&D and business operations center.
As the European R&D center for SinoAzure Wind Power, Darwind has applied for 13 patents to date, including 7 European patents, 5 Dutch patents, and 1 international patent. The company has also filed 5 trademark registrations. In terms of granted patents, Darwind has successfully applied for and obtained 66 patents in nearly 10 countries or regions worldwide.
As an overseas wholly-owned subsidiary of SinoAzure Wind Power, Darwind’s core competitiveness lies in its professional offshore floating integrated simulation technology team. The team is proficient in advanced megawatt-class turbine control technology and has accumulated rich experience in load calculations, as well as expertise in self-developed floating-related software. Leveraging its technological and intellectual property advantages, Darwind has participated in joint research for 5MW and 15MW offshore floating foundations at renewable energy laboratories in the Netherlands, France, and the U.S. The company also licenses patents to third-party companies and is deeply involved in several EU floating wind projects, offering technical consultation, turbine equipment supply, and overall floating control technology services. Currently, Darwind is advancing a 32MW-40MW dual-head floating wind project and is accelerating the transition of floating wind power technology from theoretical research to commercial application. The company is broadening its technology output channels, leveraging its experience in offshore wind power development, and utilizing both domestic and international innovation cooperation platforms to jointly promote research and development of deep-sea floating wind technology and its commercial market application.Additionally, Darwind provides comprehensive wind power generation solutions for the European market, offering 2MW-16MW platform turbine models.
