According to Statistics Netherlands (CBS), the Netherlands recorded a per capita Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of €63,000 in 2024, representing a year-on-year increase of 0.3%. This places the country fourth among EU member states, with its per capita GDP more than 1.5 times the EU average.
Luxembourg topped the EU ranking in terms of per capita GDP, followed by Ireland, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Bulgaria recorded the lowest per capita GDP in the EU, at just over €16,000 — 2.5 times below the EU average.
In terms of actual individual consumption, the Netherlands exceeded €32,000 per person, ranking second in the EU. The average actual per capita consumption across the EU was over €26,000. Luxembourg again ranked first, while Ireland dropped to fifth place.
